Dr. Astani is a pioneer in bringing advanced, hospital-grade vascular treatments into a comfortable outpatient setting. His expertise spans a wide range of minimally invasive therapies, including:

Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization (HAE): One of the first providers in the U.S. to offer this non-surgical alternative for chronic internal hemorrhoids.

Men’s & Women’s Health: Extensive experience in Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE) for enlarged prostates and Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE).

Vascular & Pain Management: Specializes in treating peripheral artery disease (PAD), varicoceles, varicose veins, and chronic knee pain through Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE).

Leadership & Background
Before co-founding North Star, Dr. Astani spent nearly a decade in Chicago, where he served in several high-level administrative roles, including Chairman of the Department of Radiology at multiple hospitals. This experience fueled his passion for creating a more personal, "built with heart" medical model that reduces the risk of hospital-acquired infections and focuses on rapid, same-day recovery.

Residency: Diagnostic Radiology at Henry Ford Hospital / Wayne State University.

Fellowship: Vascular and Interventional Radiology at William Beaumont Hospital (Royal Oak, MI).
